Port Elliot Elegance

Frame Colour: Textura™ Black
Glazing: Grade A Safety Toughened Low-e Double Glazing (Argon Fill) Comfort & Solar Solution Glazings

Set amongst the hills of Port Elliot, South Australia, this elegant home features an abundance of natural light, drawn in through Rylock Commercial Series windows and doors. The site features an N3 wind speed classification, where the product’s heavy-duty extrusions deliver structural integrity to withstand the site requirements.

A Bushfire Attack Level (BAL-19) rating was also considered when specifying the site’s custom product solutions.

Featuring a unique blend of various claddings and rendered brick, the home is enhanced by timber and stone materials, with a natural pallet that complements the earthy, picturesque, coastal surroundings.

The open-plan living room features custom designed, raked awning windows, that follow the pitch of the roof for dramatic effect. The room’s centre focal point is a window seat, where the occupant can enjoy the idyllic Fleurieu Peninsula and inviting fireplace. Featuring passive design principles, the home has external shading to the north elevation, and the living room features highlight, electric operator awning windows to promote cross-flow ventilation.

Access to the alfresco and gardens beyond is via large sliding doors, and the kitchen’s sliding servery window enhances the indoor and outdoor connection for effortless entertaining when passing food and drinks between living spaces.

All bedrooms feature awning windows in a configuration that has the sash positioned low to the floor to minimise visual obstruction of the surrounding landscape, whilst promoting cool sea breezes into the home.

To help regulate the property’s internal temperature, all windows and doors feature Rylock’s Comfort Solution, a low-e high performance double glazing with argon fill, as a standard specification. On certain elevations, Rylock’s Solar Solutions has been specified, (a low-e high performance double glazing with argon fill), which dramatically reduces the heat transfer from direct sunlight which flows through the window and is measured by the SHGC (solar heat gain coefficient).

With extensive, crafted, attention to detail, this home by award-winning custom builder 4Life Constructions delivers the ultimate lifestyle in an idyllic, quintessentially Australian environment.
