History 1

Australian-made, quality, custom manufacturing at every stage.

For over 40 years, Rylock has locally manufactured high performance, aluminium windows and doors for Australian conditions. Whilst a lot has changed, we continue to design our products in-house and utilise quality materials and technical expertise.

Rylock was founded in Geelong, Victoria in May 1983. The business experienced steady growth and relocated to southeast Melbourne in June 1984. This was followed by entry into the South Australian market in Adelaide, in early 1986.

Continued success saw our head office move to Mentone, Victoria in July 1987 with the introduction of the first in-house powder coating line to better manage product quality standards. Sydney operations commenced in 2009 and the current head office in Dingley Village opened in 2011. The Adelaide operation moved to Woodville North in January 2013 where a local in-house powder coating line was established.

History 2

PRODUCT INNOVATION

Rylock has always recognised the importance of designing products that consider Australia’s diverse landscape and local climatic conditions.

This led to the creation of an in-house technical department to drive product innovations such as the Thermally Broken Series in 2009, our BAL C40 Bushfire Series and the Acoustic Series, both in 2015. As Australian residential design trends demand an increased connection between the home and outdoor environment, Rylock’s Commercial Series doors were released in late 2017 and complemented with the release of fixed lite, awning, casement and projecting sash window products in mid-2018.

Our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant includes seven CNC (computer numeric controlled) machines for precision repetition machining, resulting in improved quality control and health & safety standards. Today, our experienced team continue to ensure every product epitomises our commitment to craftsmanship, innovation and design.
