Key features of Rylock energy efficient sliding windows include:
- High performance, low-emissivity (Low-E) glass
- Argon gas fill for enhanced insulation that slows down the rate of heat transfer
- Tight dual seals on all opening sashes to reduce draughts
- Discrete dust flap to aid cleaning and reduce unwanted built-up in the product track

Yes, Rylock’s double glazed slider windows are designed with security in mind. Robust construction and advanced locking mechanisms offer excellent protection against intruders.
Choose Rylock’s secure sliding windows for:
- Multi-point locking systems for added strength
- Durable, powder-coated aluminium frames
- Grade ‘A’ Safety Glass for enhanced safety
- Windows can be locked while open (vent locked) or when the product is fully closed
As sliding window suppliers in Australia, security, functionality and aesthetics are all important considerations.
Sliding windows offer advantages over other styles such as casement or awning windows because they slide horizontally rather than extending outwards. The horizontal sliding mechanism is useful in spaces where outward-opening windows would be impractical.
Sliding windows vs casement windows:
- Space-saving design: Sliding windows are ideal for narrow walkways or patios.
- Enhanced ventilation: Open your sliding windows partially or fully for controlled airflow.
- Modern aesthetic: Sliding windows are a practical addition that complements contemporary architectural designs.
The benefits of sliding glass windows when compared to casement or awning windows is that they are very easy to open and close and require fewer hardware mechanisms. They also feature an extruded aluminium flyscreen.
